Apple-Stuffed Meatballs

Recipe Introduction
A combination of turkey sausage and ground turkey make these glazed meatballs moist and flavorful. To keep the fat content in check, be sure to use ground turkey breast.
SERVES: 6
List of Ingredients
1/2 lb. lean turkey sausage
1/2 lb. lean ground turkey
1 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 medium apple, shredded
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. ground sage
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 jar (10-oz.) currant jelly
1/2 cup water
Recipe
In a bowl combine sausage, ground turkey, bread crumbs, sage, apple, egg and onion in a bowl. Mix well.
Form into 24 meatballs. Preheat oven to 350ºF. In a skillet brown meatballs in hot oil half at a time. Remove meatballs from skillet. Arrange in a 2-quart square casserole.
Combine jelly with water; pour over meatballs. Cover and bake for oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Spoon sauce over meatballs before serving.
