    Prep time: 10 minutes
    Cook time: 35 to 40 minutes

    List of Ingredients




    1-3/4 cups flour
    3/4 cup powdered sugar
    3/4 cup butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 green apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
    3 eggs
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1-1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 cup sliced almonds

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    In a medium bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, butter and salt; mix well.

    Press onto the bottom of a greased 7-by-11-inch baking dish and top with apple slices.

    In a small bowl, beat together eggs, brown sugar, almond extract and cinnamon until well blended; pour over apples. Sprinkle almonds evenly over the top.

    Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely before cutting.

    Makes 18 bars.

    Nutrition Per Serving: 166 calories, 2 g protein, 9 g fat, 19 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 20 mg cholesterol, 104 mg sodium.
