1 1/2 cup egg whites
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsps. cream of tartar
3/4 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup sifted flour
Recipe
Beat egg whites and salt in very large mixer bowl until foamy.
Add cream of tarter, almond extract, and vanilla extract and beat until stiff.
Fold in 3/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoon at a time.
Sift flour and 1 1/2 cup sugar together and fold in.
Turn into ungreased tube pan. Bake at 37 degrees F. for 1 hour. Invert pan and cool, then remove.
