- 1 cup milk
- 6 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 cup whipping cream
- powdered sugar
Instructions
- Pour milk into top of a double boiler and bring to a boiling point.
- Combine eggs and sugar and beat.
- Add milk slowly to the sugar mixture, beating continuously.
- Whisk with flour and vanilla.
- Pour over hot water in the double boiler and cook until mixture is thick, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat, allow to cool, then chill.
- Whip cream and fold into custard.
- Serve in dessert dishes or partfait glasses.
