List of Ingredients
6 cored, sliced Granny Smith or Red Delicious Apples
1 peeled, sliced sweet red onion
3 tbsps. sweet butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
5 tbsps. crystal ginger
4 oz. ginger ale
8 oz. Cheddar cheese, smoked or agedRecipe
Heat a large electric skillet or frying pan to 350 degrees or medium/high heat. Add butter and saute the apples and onions until golden brown, or approximately 20 minutes. Add the ginger ale and cook for an additional 10 minutes with the crystal ginger. Now, add the cinnamon.
Serve warm with a chunk of aged Cheddar cheese.
