Old-World Raspberry Bars
List of Ingredients
- CRUMB MIXTURE
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- FILLING
- 1 10 oz jar raspberry preserves (or other favorite flavor)
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350. Combine all crumb mixture ingredients in large mixer bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture is crumbly 92-3 minutes.) Reserve 1 1/2 cups crumb mixture. Set aside.
- Press remaining crumb mixture onto bottom of greased 8-inch square baking pan. Spread preserves to within 1/2 inch of edge. Crumble reserved crumb mixture over preserves.
- Bake for 40 to 50 miutes or until lightly browned. Cool Completely; cut into bars.
Final Comments
Cover and store in pan up to 5 days or freeze up o 1 month.
