List of Ingredients



• Loaf cake (bought at the bakery)
  
• Mascarpone cheese (you can usually find it in the deli)
  
• Apricot preserves
  
• Amaretto (optional)
  






Instructions



1. Put the oven on broil.
   
   
2. Slice the loaf cake like it's bread
   
   
3. Place the slices on a baking pan and put in the oven to toast.
   
   
4. When golden brown, remove
   
   
5. Pour apricot preserves into a bowl and microwave until hot (but don't burn)
   
   
6. If you want, add the amaretto to the apricot preserves.
   
   
7. The mascarpone cheese is like ricotta cheese, very spreadable and light. Spread the mascarpone cheese onto a slice of toasted cake. Cover with another piece of cake (like you're making a PBJ sammich).
   
   
8. Repeat this, and make a double decker layer of cake-cheese-cake-cheese.
   
   
9. Generously cover in the hot apricot sauce.
