Miso broth Fondue
List of Ingredients
Serves 4
1 litre (4 cups) made-up instant miso broth
16 - 20 prawns, unshelled
Selection of cut vegetables
400 g buckwheat, glass or egg noodles, cooked
Recipe
1. Pour miso broth into fondue pot and place over a burner to heat.
2. Thread prawns and vegetables on to fondue forks and poach for few minutes in broth.
3. Let guests help themselves to noodles.
4. Scoop some of the broth into bowls and finish off with prawns and vegetables.
5. Pass around a little Japanese crackers.
Cook's note:
Miso is made from fermented soy beans. The paste and instant soup are available from health shops and specialty stores.
