List of Ingredients
- 2 pkgs. yeast (4 1/2 tsp.)
- 1/2 to 1/3 C. superfine sugar
- 2 C. very warm water
- 5 to 6 1/2 C. unbleached flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/3 C. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. sea salt
Instructions
- Combine first three ingredients and let set for about 20 minutes. Combine all ingredients and stir well. It is not necessary to knead this dough. Carefully grease a large bowl. Place the dough, seam side up into the bowl. Immediately invert the dough so that the smooth side is on top. Let rise for about 1 hour, preferably in a warm place. Melt butter in a large pan. Form rolls and dip in melted butter. Arrange on a well-greased sheet with ends touching. Let rise for 45 minutes. Bake at 370 degrees F. for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
