    List of Ingredients


    • 6 large eggs
    • 1 T. plus milk
    • 1/4 to 1/2 C. superfine sugar
    • 1 tsp. pure vanilla
    • 1 tsp. maple flavoring
    • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
    • Texas Toast
    • vegetable/olive oil
    • butter


    Instructions


    1. Combine all ingredients except for oil, butter and bread into a bowl with a flat bottom. One large enough to lay a piece of bread in. Mix together will with a fork. If mixture is too runny add more eggs, if too thick more milk, but mixture should be on the thick side. Mix until sugar is melted.
    2. Heat pan adding a bit of oil with a bit of butter. Quickly dip bread into egg mixture, don't soak, just quickly dip and let as much extra drip egg mixture drip off. Fry until golden brown , turning once. Test first one for sweetness, if needed add more sugar.


    Final Comments


    This french toast can be made in large batches and frozen for later use. Just heat frozen toast in the microwave or even in a toaster.

    Since this is so good without syrup it is nice to pack as a lunch or on the go snack.
