List of Ingredients
- 1 1/2 C. Bisquick
- 1/3 C. superfine sugar
- 1 jumbo egg
- 1/3 C. milk
- 2 T. shortening
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla
- 1 C. apples, chopped
- 1/3 C. chopped pecans
- 1/4 C. honey
- 2 T. unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour square pan, 8x8x2 inches, or round pan, 9x1 1/2 inches.
- Beat Bisquick, sugar, egg, milk, shortening and 1 teaspoon vanilla in a small bowl on low speed, scraping bowl constantly for 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed scraping bowl occasionally for 4 minutes longer. Stir in apple and spread in pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 30 minutes.
- Mix remaining ingredients in small bowl. Prick deep holes in hot cake with fork. Spread honey mixture over top. Serve warm with Cool Whip.
