Recipe Introduction
This is our Blue Moon Cake.
List of Ingredients
- 1/2 C. butter, unsalted
- 1 1/4 C. sugar
- 1 2/3 C. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. sea salt
- 2 lrg. eggs, room temperature
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. cardamom
- 1 orange, zested
- 2/3 C. Blue Moon Beer, room temperature
- 2 T. milk, whole
- Cardamom Frosting
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 C. butter, softened
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. cardomom
- 2 1/2 C. powdered sugar
- 2 T. oragne juice
Instructions
- Prepare cake pan and line. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix together dry ingredients and set aside. Using mixer fluff up the butter for approximately 4 minutes, until lemony in color, add sugar and beat another 4 minutes. Add one egg at a time mixing well after each addition. Vanilla, cardamom and orange zest are added next and stirred just until mixed through.
- Mix together Blue Moon beer and milk and set aside. Add flour mixture and beer mixture to the batter alternatively. Beat until fully mixed.
- Bake in prepared pan until golden colored and pick tests done. After completely cooled frost with Cardamom Frosting.
