This makes delicious glazed fruit for fruit cakes and fruit cake cookies.
List of Ingredients
- 16 oz. jar of Marichinno cherries
- 3/4 C. sugar.
- or
- 1 can pineapple tidbits
- 1/2 C. sugar
Instructions
- Candied Cherries
- Place cherries with juice into a heavy bottomed pot. Add sugar and bring to a boil, swirling to dissolve sugar. Turn down heat to low and simmer till done.
- Candied Pineapples
- Place pineapple with juice into a heavy bottomed pot. Add sugar and bring to a boil, swirling to dissolve the sugar. Turn down heat to low and simmer till done. Pineapple burns easily.
