This recipe is a combination of my fruit salad and Aunt Angie's. Aunt Angie's fruit salad is the healthy half. Maggie
List of Ingredients
- 3 cans very cherry fruit cocktail in syrup, drained
- 1 can pineapple tidbits, drained
- 4 cans Mandarin Oranges, drained
- 1 jar Marichino Cherries, drained and cut into quarters
- 16 oz. sour cream
- 1/2 C. pecans, chopped
- 1 bag mini marshmallows
- 2 to 3 T. sugar
- 1-2 bananas
- 1-2 apples
- 1-2 limes
- 1-2 oranges
- strawberries
- kiwis
- blackberries
- honey
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine all canned fruit. Stir in sour cream, pecans, marshmallows and sugar. Chill.
- Meanwhile in a separate bowl chop up bananas and apples and squeeze a lime on top to keep from turning brown. Chop strawberries, kiwi, fresh oranges, blackberries and add to the bowl with a wee bit of honey. Mix well and add to the chilling fruit salad in the icebox. Give a good stir and return to the icebox to continue chilling.
