    Mabon-Rutabaga and Apples

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 C. rutabaga, sliced in 1/4 inch slices
    • 2 small granny smith apples, sliced in 1/4 inch slices
    • 6 T. brown sugar
    • 2 T. unsalted butter
    • apple pie spice


    Instructions


    1. Cook rutabaga in boiling salt water until fork tender. Drain and arrange half of the slices in a buttered casserole dish. Top with half of the apple slices. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, dot with 1 tablespoon of butter and a light sprinkle of apple pie spice. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Cover and bake for about 30 minutes at 350 degree F.
