List of Ingredients
- 3/4 C. powdered sugar
- 1/2 C. butter, softened
- 1 T. pure vanilla
- 1 1/2 C. unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/8 tsp. sea salt
- maraschino cherries
- glaze
- coconut
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix powdered sugar, butter and vanilla. Work in flour and salt until dough holds together. If too dry mix in 1 to 2 T. milk.
- For each cookie shape dough by tablespoonful around a cherry to form a ball. Place balls about 1 inch apart on an un-greased cookie sheet. Bake until set but not brown, 12 to 15 minutes. Cool and dip tops of cookies into glaze. Sprinkle tops with coconut.
- GLAZE- Beat 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon and 1 1/2 teaspoons of milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla until smooth and of desired consistency. Tint with a few drops of food coloring.
