    Ingredients:
    Pastry for a 9" pie shell

    Filling:
    3 Tbsp. jalapeno jelly
    4 cups peeled, sliced Granny Smith apples
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 tsp. minced jalapeno

    Topping:
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup flour
    1/4 cup butter
    3/4 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese

    Instructions:
    Preheat oven to 350 F. Spread pie crust with jalapeno jelly. In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. In a small bowl, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar. Sprinkle over apples, toss and spoon into pastry shell. Sprinkle jalapeno pepper over apples. Combine topping ingredients to form crumbly mixture and spoon over pie. Bake 45 minutes, or until golden.
