1/2 bushel of tomatoes
3 pounds of onions chopped
cook for 2-3 minutes
then run through mill to make juice
then add
2 cups oil
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup salt
1 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
2 bay leaves
1 clove garlic
slow boil for 1 hour
then add 48 ounces of tomato paste
return to slow boil then fill jars.
can as desired in water bath canner or open kettle, or pressure canner.
