List of Ingredients
½ Bushel Tomatoes
8 Medium Onions
10 Stalks Celery
-Grind onions & celery – Boil 1st 3 ingredients
Add 1 T. Baking Soda while hot
Combine:
1 C. Sugar
¼ C. Canning Salt
1 T. pepper
Put in hot juice
Recipe
Simmer 20 min. (20 pint) – If you cook juice for 2 hours – you do not need to add flour – If you only simmer 20 min. add 1 C. flour to the sugar, salt, & pepper mixture.
(Cut up tomatoes & boil 10-15 min & run through mill)
2002 – I added 3 cloves of garlic to ½ batch
½ Bushel = about 1 ½ buckets
