    Chinese Chicken Wings 1

This recipe came from Gloria I. I've modified it only slightly. It's a good party food. We always hope (usually in vain) for leftovers. They're great the next day for lunch.

    List of Ingredients

    • 4 pounds chicken wings, rinsed and tips removed
    • 1 cup soy sauce
    • 1 small can crushed pineapple
    • 3/4 cup sugar (brown is nice, too)
    • 1 clove garlic, crushed
    • 1" piece fresh ginger, peel and minced
    • 1 tablespoon Chinese chili sauce (available at Asian grocers)

    Instructions

    1. Combine all ingredients except chicken wings for marinade. Marinate wings overnight or several hours. Turn occasionally.
    2. Remove wings from marinade. Broil about 30 minutes, turning often. Brush on reserved marinade with each turn.
    3. Or--Bake in 1/4 cup reserved marinade in preheated 375 degree oven for 45 minutes. Turn twice during baking.
    4. Bring any remaining marinade to boil in saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes. Serve as dipping sauce, if desired.

    Final Comments

This is also good with boneless breasts cut into 1 1/2" chunks and skewered on pre-soaked bamboo skewers.

Skinned chicken thighs and boneless pork tenderloin are also good. Serve with toothpicks.
