Chinese Chicken Wings 2
A slightly different version. This omits the pineapple and is prepared on top of the stove. I have had this recipe so long that I no longer remember where I got it.
List of Ingredients
- 5 pounds chicken wings, tips removed
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup dark soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 t. fresh ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup oil (I use 1/4 cup)
Instructions
- Combine sugar, soy sauce, garlic and ginger. Marinate wings overnight. Drain marinade and bring to room temperature.
- Heat oil in skillet. Add marinade. Heat until it foams. Add wings. Cook uncovered about 25 minutes, turning wings several times.
- If necessary, raise heat to reduce sauce. These will be sticky.
Final Comments
I like Chinese chili sauce with this recipe. This is also good with jumbo shrimp.
