Pineapple Cheese Ball

This old recipe appears to be making a comeback. I've seen it some recent local cookbooks. It was one of our favorites some 30 years ago.





List of Ingredients



• 1 large cream cheese, softened
  
• 2 teaspoons minced onion
  
• 1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
  
• 1/4 cup minced bell pepper
  
• 1 tablespoon seasoned salt (original called for Lawry's)
  
• Dash lemon juice
  
• Garnish: chopped pecans
  






Instructions



1. Mix. Shape into a ball. Roll in chopped pecans. Chill.
   






Final Comments


This needs a buttery cracker--Ritz, for example. Flavored crackers detract from the taste of the dip.
