Jane's Strawberry Bread
Fall 2001. Jane and I canned 35 quarts of pears, 6 quarts apples, 6 pints applesauce and 6 pints pears. Since a chore like that takes time, we passed it sharing recipes. This is one she sent after she went back home.
List of Ingredients
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 eggs
1 1/4 cups oil
2 cups partially frozen strawberries
1 cups chopped nuts, if desired.
Recipe
Mix together the dry ingredients.
In another bowl, beat eggs and add the oil.
Slowly add the dry ingredients and strawberries. Stir in the chopped nuts.
Pour batter into 2 greased and floured parchment-lined bread pans. Bake at 350 about 1 hour.
