Mamma's Icebox Rolls

List of Ingredients
- 2 yeast cakes (or 2 packages yeast?)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 6 cups flour
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup Crisco
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons slat
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Pour hot water over Crisco and sugar. Set aside to cool to lukewarm.
- Dissolve yeast in cold water and add to Crisco. Mix.
- Add to beaten eggs. Add dry ingredients thoroughly sifted together 3 times.
- Let stand in refrigerator for 2 hours. Cut off amount of dough needed and shaped into rolls.
- Put in a greased pan, cover, and place in a warm place free from drafts. Let rise 2 1/2 hours.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
