Mushroom Gravy Pot Roast

Similar to Spicy Pepper Steak tastewise, this recipe uses a browning bag. These Reynolds' recipes are quick and easy. The flavor in this is really good.





List of Ingredients



• 1 large oven bag with 1/4 cup flour to prevent bursting
  
• 1/2 cup water
  
• 1 package brown gravy mix
  
• 1 medium onion, sliced
  
• 1 large jar mushrooms
  
• 3-5 pounds boneless chuck roast or venison
  
• 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
  
• pepper to taste
  
• cayenne to taste
  






Instructions



1. Add water mixture to floured bag. Squeeze to mix thoroughly. Add vegetables.
   
2. Rup roast with spices. Place roast on top of vegetables in bag. Cut six 1/2-inch slits in the bag for steam to escape.
   
3. Bake at 350 about 1 hour. Serve over rice, potatoes, or noodles.
