    Raisin Sauce for Pork

I've made this for ham or roast pork. It's a pretty sauce as well as a tasty one.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1/4 cup raisins
    • 2 cups water
    • 1 cup light brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
    • pinch salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
    • 2 tablespoons vinegar

    Instructions

    1. Cook raisins in water about 5 minutes. Mix remaining ingredients and add to the raisins. Cook until thickened.

    Final Comments

This recipe came out before dried cranberries, cherries, and the like became popular. Craisins would do well.
