    Chocolate Chip Cookies

    Recipe Introduction


    Everyone loves these cookies. I always use mini chocolate chips in the recipe.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup shortening
    • 1 and one-half cups brown sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    • 2 cups flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 12 ounces chocolate chips


    Instructions


    1. Cream together the shortening, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla
    2. Stir in the other ingredients except the chocolate chips
    3. Add the chocolate chips and mix well
    4. Drop dough by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets, about 2 inches apart
    5. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes
    6. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheets onto baking racks
