    1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
    1 Tbspn Warmed Milk
    1/2 cup Butter
    2/3 cup Sugar
    1/2 Warmed Treacle
    2 cups Wholemeal Plain Flour
    1 Tbspn Ground Ginger
    2 tsps Cinnamon
    2 tsps Cocoa
    1/2 tsp Salt

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 180C or 160C if fan forced and grease medium baking tray.

    Dissolve soda in warmed milk and let stand for 2 minutes.

    Cream the butter and sugar.

    Add the soda milk and warmed treacle, beat well.

    Combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, cocoa and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the creamed mixture and combine.

    Place heaped teaspoons onto the tray approx 5cm apart. Bake for approx 15 - 20 minutes.

    Let cool on the tray for approx 5 minutes before transfering to a wire rack.

    Makes approx: 30
