    I got this recipe from my sister-in-law. My husband and kids really love it. I've never ate snickerdoodles until the summer of 2003. Now I fix them every chance I get.

    List of Ingredients




    “1”
    2 ¾ cups self-rising flour
    2 teaspoons cream of tartar
    1 teaspoon soda
    ¼ teaspoon salt

    “2”
    1 stick butter or margarine, softened
    2/3 cup shortening
    1 ½ cups sugar
    2 eggs

    “3”
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 teaspoons cinnamon

    Recipe



    Prehaet oven to 400 degrees.

    Put “1” in a sifter and set aside.

    Mix “2”: butter and shortening until creamy. Add in sugar until smooth. Add eggs and mix until creamy.

    Sift in “1” and mix until smooth.

    Combine “3” in a round cake pan. Form dough into walnut-sized balls, and roll in “3”.

    Bake 7-10 minutes, untill golden brown.
