Recipe Introduction
I first tried this at The Great Wall of China and before they sold out and headed to a warmer climate, I got their recipe.
List of Ingredients
- Batter:
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- 1/2 Cup Cornstarch
- 1/2 Cup Water1
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Soy sauce
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/4-1/2 tsp hot pepper flakes
- 1 carrot finely chopped
- 3-4 green onions finely chopped
- 1 large garlic clove
Instructions
- Batter:
- Mix flour, cornstarch, water,egg and sugar to form a smooth batter.
- Dip chicken wings into batter and deep fry.Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Sauce:
- In large skillet heat oil and dried red peppers, cook briefly to coat with oil.
- Stir in garlic, carrot and green onion, until just crisp, tender.
- Stir in soy sauce mixtue and bring to a boil.
- Add Chicken wings, heat stirring until sauce coats the wings.
- Serve with steamed rice.
