    List of Ingredients


    • 3 c beet juice
    • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
    • 4 c sugar
    • 1pkg grape jello
    • 1pkg certo * liquid is better than crystals*


    Instructions


    1. wash and cut beet tops off, do not peel if your using the beets to pickle, or they will bleed out,fill pot with beets and cover with water.Boil till they are soft....combine HOT beet juice with lemon juice

    2. boil this for 5 minutes

    3. add sugar

    4. return to just boil

    5. add jello, and boil for 5 minutes

    6. add certo and stir

    7. quicky pour into warm jars and seal right away

    8. DO NOT DOUBLE THIS AS IT FAILS EVERYTIME

    9. this tastes great so if it does not jell for you, it makes great syrup!
