Apple French Toast
List of Ingredients
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 T. light corn syrup
4-6 apples peeled and sliced
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
6 slices of French bread (sliced in 2” thickness)
Recipe
In a small saucepan, cook brown sugar, butter and corn syrup until thick, about 5 min. Pour into an ungreased 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
Arrange sliced apples on top of syrup mixture.
Beat together 3 eggs, 1 cup milk, and 1 tsp. vanilla; dip 6 slices French Bread in mixture.
Let bread remain in mixture for 1 minute, then place over apples.
Cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove from the refrigerator 30min. before baking.
Bake uncovered for 45 min. at 350 degrees F.
