Quick and Easy Black Forest Cake
List of Ingredients
1 box devil's food cake mix
1 16-oz. can cherry pie filling
1 container milk chocolate frosting
1 bundt-shaped baking pan
Recipe
Prepare cake mix as directed on box. Add the entire can of cherries. Stir until cherries are evenly spread through the mix. Grease and flour bundt pan or spray thoroughly with non-stick spray. Pour batter into pan and bake as directed.
I usually cook the cake for 5 extra minutes after I have tested it for doneness.
Remove from the oven and put it onto a cake platter before it cools and sticks to the pan.
When it is thoroughly cooled, melt the container of frosting in the microwave for about 30 seconds to 1 minute (check first to make sure there is not a tinfoil-lined top). Check frosting by stirring with a knife. Pour onto cooled cake in "drip-like" stripes. Chill for an hour.
