    Texas Sheet Cake

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups flour (all-purpose)
    2 cups sugar
    1/2-teaspoon salt
    1-cup water
    1 stick margarine
    1/2-cup peanut oil
    3 tablespoons cocoa powder
    3 large egg
    1-teaspoon baking soda
    1/2-cup buttermilk
    1-teaspoon vanilla extract

    FROSTING

    1 stick margarine
    2 tablespoons cocoa powder
    3/8-cup milk
    1-teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 pound powdered sugar box
    1/2-cup pecans

    Recipe

    Mix together flour, sugar, and salt, in large mixing bowl. Set aside. In saucepan, bring to a boil, water, oil, margarine and cocoa. Pour into bowl with dry ingredients.

    Add eggs, buttermilk, soda, and vanilla. Mix well and pour into greased cookie sheet 11 X 18. Bake 20 minutes at 325.

    While cake is baking mix melt margarine in saucepan, add cocoa milk and vanilla. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and 1/2 cup chopped nuts.

    Mix and spread over cake as soon as it is removed from the oven. Cool and cut into squares.

    Makes 30 servings
