    Triple Dipped Candy Apples

    Triple Dipped Apples
    4 to 5 medium apples
    4 to 5 wooden sticks
    1 14 oz pkg caramels
    2 Tbsp water
    1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
    2 4 oz pkgs Baker's German's Sweet Chocolate
    2 tsp margarine, butter or shortening
    white sugar

    Recipe



    Wash and dry apples, insert sticks into stem end of each. Microwave caramels and water in small deep microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 to 3 minutes or until carmels are melted adn mixture is smooth, stirring every minute. Dip apples in hot caramel until well coated. Scrape excess from bottom of apples with knife or spatula. Roll bottom half in walnuts. Please on sugared cookie tray and refrigerate at least 15 minutes.

    Microwave chocolate and margarine in deep microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 to 3 minutes or until chocolate is almost melted; stirring halfway through heating time. Remove from microwave and stir until chocolate is completely
    melted. Decorate apples by drizzling or spooning chocolate onto the top half.

    Let stand until chocolate is firm. (This fabulous treat sounds harder than it is - don't be afraid to try it!)
