    REAL SPAGHETTI SAUCE

    List of Ingredients

    2 Lbs. Hamburger Meat
    1 Medium Onion (chopped)
    1 Medium Green Bell Pepper (chopped)
    1 teaspoon salt
    black pepper (to taste

    Recipe

    Place the above ingredients in a fry pan and cook until the meat is brown and the vegetables are soft.

    Place a large can of tomato paste in a Dutch oven and add two and a half cans of water. Stir until it is smooth.

    Drain or strain the browned hamburger and vegetables from the fat and place in the Dutch oven. Now is when you are able to make the sauce your "own". The required ingredients are as follows:

    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    1 teaspoon garlic powder

    Note: If using fresh herbs, use twice as much.

    Stir the spices in well. Taste. Do you need to adjust the seasonings by adding more of something to your own personal taste? If so, do it now. Now is also the time to add any additional ingredients that are your option. You may choose:

    Mushrooms
    A sprinkle of sugar (this cuts the tart taste of the tomato paste)
    Black Olives

    Allow this to simmer, stirring often, for at least 30 minutes. Of course, the leftover sauce is better the next day.

    Now, prepare your noodles according to the number of guests, serve and enjoy. Don't know how to cook the noodles? Read the package directions. You may have chosen fresh instead of dried and each is prepared a bit differently.
