SOY SAUCE STEAK
List of Ingredients
SOY SAUCE STEAK
5-6 lb lean boneless rump or chuck roast (bottom or rump roast works VERY well)
1 c. kikko-man soy sauce
1 c. beef broth
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 c. onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. powdered ginger or 6-8 thin slices fresh ginger root
2 Tbsp. sugar
Recipe
Slice beef across grain in as thin slices as possible (here, you can ask the butcher at your grocery store to do this and they will usually be more than willing to do so).
Combine all the otehr ingridients in a large bowl, stir until sugar is dissolved. Immerse meat, one slice at a time, until all the meat is in the marinade. Refrigerate for up to 24 hours, pressing top layer under the marinade frequently.
Fry in hot ungreased skillet for only a minute or two on each side. Usually, by the time you have all the meat in that the skillet will hold, it is time to turn it over.
Makes great sandwiches and is good to eat hot or cold!!
NOTE: You may need to add a couple spoonfuls of sauce to skillet when starting to fry meat.
