    Sue's Buttermilk Slaw

    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    3/4 c. cultured buttermilk
    2 T. sugar
    1 T. fresh lemon juice
    1/2 tsp celery seed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. white wine, or pineapple juice
    2 c. drained crushed pineapple
    10 c. coarsely shredded green cabbage
    2 carrots shredded

    Whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, sugar, white wine, celery seed, pineapple, lemon juice, and salt. Add cabbage and mix well.

    Cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hrs. or overnight if you like a more tender slaw. I like mine made just before serving, so its crisp.

    Adjust the seasoning, toss well, and serve.
