Kaye's Chili

Kaye
3 lbs. ground beef
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
30 oz. can chili style beans
14 oz. can diced tomatoes
14 oz. can chili seasoned diced tomatoes
14 oz. can tomato sauce
4.5 oz. jar sliced mushrooms
chili powder, to taste
salt and pepper, to taste
Brown ground beef with most of the chopped onion and the garlic. Drain grease.
Add remaining ingredients. Mix well, and simmer at least
1 hr. This can be simmered as long as you like, or done in a crock pot all day.
Serve topped with remaining raw onion pieces, if desired, and shredded Cheddar cheese.
This can be made as hot as you like, by adding more chili powder, hot sauce or hot peppers.
