Sue's Ultimate Garlic Mashed Potatoes

3 lb Yukon Gold or russet potatoes
1/2 c. cream
1/2 c. whole milk
4 garlic cloves
2 T. butter
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. white pepper
salt, to taste
Recipe
Peel potatoes, and boil until tender.
Drain and mash with the cream, milk, and butter.
Use a garlic press to squeeze the garlic cloves directly into the puree. This ensures a distinct garlic taste.
Add nutmeg and white pepper, salt to taste, and blend thoroughly.
Add more milk or cream if you desire a different consistency.
If you prefer a milder garlic taste, boil the garlic cloves with the potatoes.
