    Sour Cream Corn Bread

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    3/4 cup corn meal
    1 cup sour cream
    1 cup flour
    4 tablespoons milk
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cream of tartar
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 egg -- well beaten
    2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons melted butter

    Sift flour and corn meal; measure and add soda, cream of tartar, salt and sugar. Sift again. Add beaten egg, cream, milk and melted butter. Beat thoroughly.
    Pour into a greased 9x9-inch pan. Bake 20 minutes at 425 F.
