    Food Processor Perfect Pie Crust

Recipe By : Spahn's Big Horn Mountain Lodge - Big Horn, Wyoming
    Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00
    Categories : Pies & Pastry

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup lard or Crisco shortening
    1 teaspoon vinegar
    6 tablespoons ice cold water

Combine all ingredients in your food processor container. Using steel blade, process until dough forms a ball and pulls away from the blade, less than 1 minute. Do not over-process or your dough will become tough. Divide into two balls and roll out to fit pie pans, 9-inch or 10-inch. (I put the dough between two sheets of wax paper to roll out for easier clean-up and transfer to the pie pan.)

    Makes two crusts

NOTES : This is the BEST pie crust....so easy and fast to make in your food processor. Stays flaky and very easy to work with. I've used this many, many times with excellent results.
