Sugarplum Filling

1 cup dried apricots
1/2 cup dried figs
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup dates
1 cup candied pineapple
1/2 cup Maraschino cherries
1 cup nuts*
Grated rind of 1 orange
3 tablespoons orange juice
Powdered sugar
Grind together the first 7 ingredients. I used a meat chopper and it works fine. Mix in the orange juice and rind. Add enough powdered sugar (about 1/2 cup) to hold mixture together. Press mixture into a buttered dish; cover and let stand several hours or overnight. Shape as desired, using buttered hands. The white chocolate is excellent with this filling, but so is semi-sweet dipping chocolate!

NOTES : * You can use pecans, walnuts, etc.
