Chicken-Broccoli Bake

3 pounds chicken breasts, with skin and bones
1 1/3 cups water
1 cup mayonnaise
1 1/4 cups soft bread crumbs
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon butter or margarine -- melted
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
2 packages frozen broccoli cuts (16-ounces each) -- thawed and drained
Place chicken in a large skillet with water; bring to boiling and reduce heat. Cover and simmer 18 to 20 minutes or until chicken is tender and no longer pink. Drain chicken; cool and cut into cubes, discarding skin and bones.
For sauce: combine soup, mayonnaise and 1/4 cup bread crumbs, half the cheese, lemon juice, curry powder and pepper. Combine broccoli, chicken, and half the sauce mixture. Turn mixture into a 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Spread with remaining sauce mixture. Combine remaining cheese, bread crumbs and melted butter; sprinkle over sauce. Bake, uncovered, for 25 to 30 minutes or until heated through.
