1 2/3 cups saltines -- crushed
2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup catsup
2 eggs
2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 teaspoons chopped parsley
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon each: pepper, marjoram and nutmeg
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon sherry -- optional
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cans DAWN FRESH mushroom steak sauce*
Combine beef, crackers, catsup, eggs, onion, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, salt pepper, marjoram and nutmeg; shape into oval patties. Place in a deep baking pan or dish. Heat soup, milk, garlic powder and mushroom steak sauce in a pan. Add the sherry, if using. Pour over the patties; cover and bake at 350 F. for 45 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
