Macaroni Goulash

2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion -- chopped
1 small green bell pepper -- chopped
4 cans tomato sauce (8-ounces each)
1 can tomato soup
16 ounces tomatoes -- broken up
16 ounces water
1 stick butter or margarine (do not omit!)
1 teaspoon oregano
1 Dash garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
4 cups elbow macaroni -- cooked and drained
Brown ground beef with onion and green pepper; drain off excess fat. Add all ingredients except the macaroni. Simmer about 30 to 35 minutes. Stir in cooked macaroni and serve.

NOTES : This is one of our favorite quickie dishes! Don't omit the butter or margarine...that's what gives it a good flavor.
