Romaine-Bacon-Apple Salad

1 head romaine lettuce -- torn in bite-sized
pieces
6 slices lean bacon -- cooked and crumbled
1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 red apple -- unpeeled and sliced
Italian Dressing:
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 clove garlic -- minced
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano -- crumbled
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme -- crumbled
1/4 teaspoon dried basil -- crumbled
Freshly ground black pepper
In a large salad bowl, mix all ingredients for salad together. Refrigerate until chilled.
Toss with dressing to moisten just before serving.
For dressing: In a small bowl whisk all ingredients together. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Makes about 1/2 cup.
