Complete Supper Soup
1 pound ground chuck
2 cups coarsely chopped cabbage
1 large onion, sliced
3 carrots, cut in 1-inch pieces
1 medium potato, cubed
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1 small can tomato paste
1 can tomatoes
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can beef broth
2 soup cans of water
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas
In a large kettle, cook meat until browned. Add cabbage, onion, carrots,
potato, parsley flakes, tomato paste, tomatoes, beef broth, water, salt,
pepper and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer uncovered about 50 minutes or
until vegetables are tender. Add peas, cover and cook 10 minutes or until peas are tender.
