RIO BRAVO BEANS
2 cans (15 ounces each) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (16 ounces) Old El Paso fat-free refried beans
1 can (10 ounces) Old El Paso enchilada sauce
1 can (4.5 ounces) Old El Paso chopped green chiles
3/4 cup onions, finely chopped
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 large cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
Stir together all ingredients except cheese in 4-quart saucepan or Dutch
oven.
Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; cover
and simmer 15 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese.
Makes 9 servings.
