Fudgy Chocolate Ice Cream

What could be better than chocolate ice cream? Another recipe from my "to try" file.
List of Ingredients
5 squares, 1 oz each, unsweetened chocolate, melted
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
4 egg yolks
2 tsp vanilla
2 c (1 pint) half and half
2 c (1 pint) whipping cream, whipped
1 c chopped nuts, optional
Recipe
Beat melted chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.
If using nuts, add.
Add half and half, mixing well.
Fold in the whipped cream.
Pour into a loaf pan (9x5) or a 2-quart freezer container.
Freeze for at least 6 hours or until it is firm.
Notes:
Recipe did not state when to add the half and half.
Be careful when using raw eggs.
